What is happening to the Professio of Doctors?

• The over all image and status of Doctor and his practice is under scrutiny for quite some time by people at large.
• Indian Medical Council (Amendment) Bill 2013 Bill : Mr.Brajesh Pathak Committee's recommendations are not so much in tune with the over all dignity and status of the Medical Profession. Recommends for examination of medical errors by way of employing non - professionals
• And now a Junior Doctors  (VARUN PATEL) blog going viral ( http://articles.timesofindia.indiatimes.com/2013-12-04/mumbai/44755941_1_patient-resident-doctors-lok-nayak-hospital ) about callousness in public hospitals .... so sad ... so much irresponsible. Quotes from the Blog of Dr.Patel : 'You will see the resident doctors fighting over a patient.  Nobody wants the patient admitted in his own ward.  They call it 'batting', you would see them proudly blabbering around - 'Hey! Aaj Maine 6 Bat Kiye', meaning he got rid of six patients that day'. ' you meet malpractices at each and every step.  You discover that the true sense of noble profession is lost somewhere'.

LOOSE AND IRRESPONSIBLE COMMENTS EITHER BY A DOCTOR OR OTHER PEOPLE INCLUDING PATIENTS WILL DO MUCH HARM TO PATIENT CARE AND STATUS OF MEDICAL SERVICES AND PROFESSION AND ITS STATUS AND REPUTATION.
